Building at CEY is about creating a yacht that is you. Your yacht is a reflection of  all aspects of your lifestyle and personality. CEY is committed to the most individualized approach to your vision while keeping in mind the vessel's own capabilities, intended use as well as an ever expanding scope of requirements.  At CEY, we recognize that each boater is different, and we will build each yacht with a distinctive character as well as the capacity to cross oceans, taking you safely and comfortably to exotic locations. All the Canadian expedition yachts can be designed to be owner operated, or with crew accommodations in mind.
 
We focus our attention on custom boatbuilding with high-quality materials from inception to completion . Each boat begins with the finest grade of Canadian plate aluminum or steel, (based on design) providing you with a palette of infinite possibilities for the interior layout. There are no fixed floor layouts here, you'll find only a few suggestions to get your own creative mind flowing to produce design choices of you own. While our experienced welders are building the solid aluminum or steel hull and superstructure of your yacht, assuring the ultimate in safety and strength, you can be working with our exclusive interior design experts - or if you choose your own personal designer - to define the layout of your vessel. Your preferences will dictate the shape, size and accessories of salon, galley, stateroom accommodations and pilothouse features. Throughout construction, you can guide us on every related detail, from color and appliances to flooring and furniture.

 

The Flexibility Of Metal

The naval architecture of the CEY hulls are a joint effort by Bray Research and  Design in Vancouver, Canada: Overing Yacht Designs, in Ocean Springs, MS. Dixon Yacht Design in Southampton, United Kingdom and the CEY in-house team. Our metal shipyard is located in the heart of the South Korea's metal boatbuilding industry, the strategic gate of Eurasia, Center of North-East Asian Sea between China and Japan. Boatbuilders across the globe take advantage of the region's infrastructure and expertise for computerized laser and water-jet cutting and master certified welding artisans. For us, these facilities are all done in house.

We recognize the importance of stability, maneuverability and weight-to-size ratios, all of which is accounted for in the design process of each yacht. We believe in building a yacht in which you are comfortable, surrounded by décor and equipment that matches your tastes and personality. Of course, that equipment includes everything necessary for you to cruise self-sufficiently and confidently for thousands of nautical miles at a time. We keep the owner-operator, or crew in mind, and ensure that the systems are accessible and that each yacht is easy to care for and operate. We invite you to be as much of a part of the process as you desire. From creating your interior appointments with our experienced designer to visiting the yard in person or via video conferencing throughout construction to keep you as up-tp-date as possible and of course you are welcome to join us during sea trials, this is truly your yacht.
