Marine Surveyors & Quality Control Services Lott Boat Works sources its brokered Survey and Quality Control to MSOL, one company that has been providing marine surveying and consulting services since 1988. Their focus has been a very thorough approach to technical venues of the assignment and intelligent composition when reporting the observations. The quality of their work was recognized early on by knowledgeable buyers, insurers and lenders, and over the decades they have provided marine surveying services in the process of purchase and insuring of recreational and commercial vessels worth millions.   MSOL's experience and expertise are extremely diverse both in the recreational and commercial segments of the marine industry: While the bulk of their recreational vessel assignments involve the average pre-owned recreational boat, in the past they have overseen new build construction of several 62' and 70' motor yachts in fiberglass, consulted with one-off custom builders in steel aluminum and wood, and have provided pre-delivery marine surveys for such new builds as Bayliner, Tiara, Sea Ray, Carver, Ocean Alexander, C&C, Jeanneau, Hunter, Hanse and Beneteau. They have provided structural consulting and insurance surveys for offshore cruisers aboard such vessels as Morgan, Alberg and Swan. Their commercial work ranges from consulting for a mining company in the construction of a sectional deck barge for medium ice conditions in Northern Ontario, to providing specialized technical analyses dealing with waterborne patrol and rescue assets operated by first responders and providing insurance adjusters with damage report on such specialized craft as an airboat. Experience with inspection of commercial craft includes the pre-purchase marine survey of the 116' 542 passenger dinner-cruise vessel "Empress of Canada".
